Max Gagnon is a New Hampshire native who graduated May 2017 with a BFA in Illustration from New Hampshire Institute of Art. He works as a freelance illustrator, creating unique and colorful illustrations for local and national media, as well as painting murals with his original designs. He also paints commissioned works. Max utilizes traditional media techniques for his work such as pen and ink, gouache, acrylic as well as digital media.
Max has long been inspired by the art of comics, movies, and monsters. Influenced by the color and design elements of 1920-50 horror movie posters, his original work combines artful storytelling with vivid color. The author and illustrator of the self-published graphic novel “Terror of Mummy Rock”, Max is a featured artist at regional Comicons.
In his free time he enjoys creating original monsters, watching movies and sampling micro-brewed beers.
